Jim started his insurance career in 1974 and joined Bouchard Insurance in 2007.  He has experience in occupational safety & health, security, ergonomics, environmental management, hazardous materials, transportation, and emergency response. He is responsible for developing proactive and innovative approaches to eliminating or reducing loss exposures.

Jim views safety management as an integral component of business management and the use of quality-based principles controlling losses. His clients include public, private, and academic business sectors at a national and international level.

Jim has a Masters in Business Administration and a certification in Homeland Security. He is a Registered Florida Insurance Instructor, an OSHA-Authorized Instructor for Construction, General Industry, and Disaster Site Worker training, certified instructor in USDOT FMCSA and Hazardous Materials Transportation regulations, and an Adjunct Professor with the University of Florida TREEO Center.
